Summer is often hard for parents who rely on the programming and routine that school brings for their special needs child. Do you have a plan to make this summer relaxing and memorable for both yourself and your children?

Come join our 3 day challenge to explore options and get ready for the summertime! At the end of this challenge, you should have a plan and direction of weekly programs and camps your child can attend and feel secure that the program staff understands your child’s needs.

Lessons will be broadcast on Facebook Live within the Challenge Facebook group. Starts April 26 at 7pm on Facebook LIVE!

Day 1: Understand your child’s strengths and limitations before you start looking. Participants will be given an About Me worksheet to share with your summer care and camp staff.

Day 2: Understand the questions to ask summer programs and tips for finding backup care. Participants will be given a worksheet to help frame these questions and track options for programming.

Day 3: Learn about the many options for summer programs in your community. Highlights will be for South Metro Atlanta, but the checklist given will include many options that are available in any community. Participants will be given the resource checklist as well as summer weekly tracker
